Learn about the newest projects at LAX! Discussion with LAWA’s Chief of Airport Planning, Christopher Koontz. His presentation will cover the following:
  • LAX is seeking to build an Automated People Mover (APM) system to connect the Central Terminal Area (CTA) to a new Intermodal Transportation Facility (ITF), the Metro system at a new 96th Street Station, and a Consolidated Rent-a-car (ConRAC) facility.
  • How LAX will connect to convenient offsite parking, transit and rental car facilities
  • When over $3 billion in new investment and construction will begin.
  • Ways investments from LAX can be leveraged to induce private development and improve mobility.

The Infrastructure Committee’s Mission: 
To advance policies that improve infrastructure (e.g., transportation, water, goods movement, aviation, civic and public service buildings) planning, development, funding, delivery, and management processes as well as to ensure that critical infrastructure in L.A. County and throughout Southern California is adequately maintained, financed, and funded in a way that supports a stronger economy, a higher quality of life, a healthier environment, and shared prosperity throughout Los Angeles County.
