LAEDC Announces Finalists for Most Business-Friendly City Award

LOS ANGELES, CA – The Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) is excited to announce the finalists for the prestigious 2024 Most Business-Friendly City Award, honoring local cities in Los Angeles County that are making strides to support job creation, business attraction, and retention efforts.

The Most Business-Friendly City Award recognizes one small city and one large city that has demonstrated excellence in streamlining processes, enhancing economic development, and fostering a supportive environment for businesses to grow and thrive. This award highlights the vital role cities play in fostering a vibrant, resilient economy that benefits both businesses and residents alike.
Finalists for the 2024 Most Business-Friendly City Award are selected in two categories based on city size:

Most Business-Friendly Small City Finalists:

• El Segundo
• Glendora
• La Mirada
• Monterey Park
• San Fernando

Most Business-Friendly Large City Finalists:

• Carson
• Glendale
• Lancaster
• Pasadena
• Santa Clarita

These cities have shown exceptional leadership in creating a welcoming environment for businesses of all sizes, from local entrepreneurs to global enterprises, through innovative policies and responsive economic development strategies.
The winners will be announced at the 29th Annual Eddy Awards, hosted by LAEDC on November 6, 2024, at the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. This celebrated event will bring together leaders from business, education, government, and the nonprofit sector to honor cities committed to advancing economic opportunity across Los Angeles County.
